I was just reading my first few posts in my blog and i just realised today's my blog's 1 year anniversary! Reading it gave me so much memories... Hahhahaha. Especially the first post. Me describing my closest friends... That was what i thought of them at that point of time. Hahhaha but i guess it's quite the same as now, which is a very good thing! :)
Anyway Tante Cian2 came over from Jakarta to help Jeane and Farah furnish their new apartment so i've been very busy bringing her around most of the time... Love her soooo much! Among all my mum's friends, she's the cutest la. Her distinct laugh, her bubbly personality. Like talking to someone your age u know, even though she's like your mum's best friend. :)
I followed Jeane, her mum and grandma to Sydney from the 9th till 11th.
Day 1
It was soooo fun! We stayed at a service apartment called Fraser in the city. It was new and sooo nice! Tante Cian2 got the corporate price cos she bought an apartment by the same developer and they were promoting to her. :)
Anyway we took the 7.30am flight (I KNOW SO EARLY). I had to wake up at 4.45 am cos Tante told me to give them a wake up call! So i felt a bit stressed la, whole night couldn't really sleep... Hahahha cos i do oversleep from time to time. So we arrived airport early, but Jeane and me both blur. We thought we were flying there with Virgin Blue and coming back with Qantas but it was actually the other way round. So we had to RUN to the other end. Omgosh i felt so bad cos Jeane's grandma fell down last December so she can't really walk, and she had to walk so far because of my mistake... :( Sigh. But other than that, we arrived Sydney and was picked up by Jeane's uncle and aunty who lived in Sydney since 30 over years ago.
First stop was Sydney Fish Market. The parents just dropped Jeane and me there cos we wanted to meet Evan and he was at Darling Harbour, which was nearby. So Jeane and me went looking at stuff, i did tourist-y stuff la. Took photos and all. Hhahaha. The last time i been to Sydney was like 12 years ago? So i hardly remember anything. Anyway, we bought soooo much man. Hahhahaha never felt so greedy in my life. Both of us spent like $80 over just on our food! Over $80 breakfast man... Hahahahha cos got one whole lobster la ($18), 9 oysters la, king prawns la, calamaris, fish, sushi, sashimi and chips. I TELL U i was SO FULL! 10 am in the morning wanna eat so much... Super greedy man me! Terriblenya...
Evan was ONLY about an hour late :p Hahhaha but cos he was staying over at a friend's hotel in Darling Harbour and he had to wait for them and stuff, so it's ok la. Hehehe. After that we WALKED through the Harbour Bridge and i saw all the nice tall buildings. Saw the big 4- PWC, E&Y, Delloid and KPMG buildings. I was like looking at them in awe and that Evan called me aunty from China. So mean..... Yish. He made me walk all the way to Queen Victoria Building (QVB). Mostly middle to higher range of clothing, but quite nice la the place. Small and nice. I got Jeane a dress from Witchery for her birthday (1 out of the 3 stuff i got her :D). She loved it man! Wore it on the day itself. So cute la she. Hahahhaha. After that, Edmond (the other twin) called and wanted to meet us so we waited for him. Then when we arrived we hug hug and all ahhahaha.
Then went to Sydney Central (cool eh, Melb Central, this one Sydney Central. I know i sound a bit kampung but i was impressed). Went to Myers, walk here there. Then went to Pitt Street, where all the shopping are! It's like our Bourke Street la... :) Hehhehe. Walk walk but didn't get anything (yet). Tante Cien2 called. Needed Jeane to pass her some stuff so that can check into the hotel. Jeane and Edmond walked so fast there. Left Evan and me. Thank goodness he kind of knew where the hotel was. So checked in and i was impressed. Nice serviced apartment! Heard the 1-bedroom (the one we stayed in) full price is $450 a night. CRAZY. More expensive than Crown. Crown only $330 a night leh... Somemore my dad gets discount cos he's member.
After that we went back out to the city, this time with Tante and some relatives as well. I bought a pair of jeans and mini skirt from Dotti. So happy! After that, Jeane and me followed the twins to their college at UNSW. Took 20 mins by bus. UNSW IS HUGE MAN! FUUUHH. Their college is right at the end, called Shalom College, which is right opposite Mcker's Drive-In. SO NICE! My dream! Hahhahaha. Anyway we went to say hi to everyone there - Elisa, Andre, Daniel and then i was introduced to Cindy as well (Edmond's going-to-be-gf hehehe). They all say that Cindy and me are very like, but honestly, we both don't think so at all! Just the height la... Yish.
We went back to the city. Had dinner at this Korean-Japanese restaurant. WAH SO NICE! Follow the twins sure good food one la. Guaranteed! Hehehhe. After that went to Pancake on the Rocks. CRAZY RIGHT. One after the other. But it was my request la anyway. Hehhehe. I say that it's better than Pancake Parlour. SO nice! :) But i was forced by Evan to eat until i cannot tahan d... Sigh. I guess he misses having an eating partner who will just open their mouth when they see food la, which is none other than me. Victimised man.
After pancakes, we walked around. It was so beautiful... We were at Circular Quay. Walked one end till the other. Till we were near Sydney Opera House. It was the only thing i remember seeing when i went to Sydney 12 years ago. Hahhaha. Sorry daddy wasted your money last time bringing me travel here and there :p We sat there by the quay for like 20-30 mins. Just enjoying the nice cool breeze and views. Soooo nice. :) After that, went back hotel and sleep.
Day 2
Next day woke up so late. Hahhaa about 11am. First stop was an Indonesian small restaurant at the corner of Chinatown, which was very near UTS. Had Bakmi Gila. Funny man the name! Had resoles as well but it was so diff from the ones i usually have in Jakarta. But really nice as well. Evan joined us as well. Then I wanted to go Supre Clearance at Market City but Tante wanted to go to banks. So Jeane followed her mum and Evan brought me. Heheheh. Got a jacket for Hao Ern and quite a bit of stuff from Supre. So worth it! :) Then we met Tante. Evan and me waited till they were finished. Then Jeane told me this brand don't have in Melb so i went. Got a jacket as well. It's nice and SO CHEAP! 50% off somemore. Even cheaper! Only like $15 u know. Hahhahaa.
Then we went to see the development of an apartment Tante bought in Sydney. Right at the heart of the city. Called Lumiere. EXTREMELY LUXURIOUS! So much better than mine. Hahhahaha. She has superb taste! :) After that Jeane and me packed to stay over in Shalom with the twins and Elisa. After dropping our stuff there, we went to Bondi Beach. A restaurant called Hurricane. SUPER GOOD PORK RIBS! Omgosh... SO nice man.... Seriously the best i've even eaten! No wonder Evan keeps bragging about it... Heheheh :) I met Evelyn there too! Haven't met her since like the end of SAM. Really missed her. Thanks so much girl, for making time to meet me :)
After dinner we walked around the beach and they were seriously talking nonsense. I think until Evelyn cannot tahan. Hahhahaha. Went back by bus then Jeane, Elisa, Evan and me were talking almost the whole night. Till 3 smtg am. Then i slept in Elisa's room that night. Thanks so much Elisa for letting me stay the night! :)
Day 3
Woke up at like 9 smtg cos we had to meet Tante and the relatives in the city by 11am. Took bath and i borrowed Evan's shower gel and i LEFT IT THERE! So sorry mannnn hahahahaha. :p He had to ask a girlfriend to get it for him cos it was the girl's shower.
So Jeane and me got to the city by cab cos we didn't want to be late. Had Japanese food. VERY GOOD ONE. Price is not bad also... Mmmmm... I ordered the Sushi and Sashimi set with Teppanyaki chicken as well. Sluuurrrpppp. I LOVE JAPANESE FOOD! Hehhe. Anyway there was a baby girl sitting right next to my table. She was soooo adorable! And found out her name's Yan Yan (same as En En, Aunty Wai Fong's daughter). Wonder why all the Yan Yan's are so cute. Hahhahaha.
After that we went to see another development which Tante bought. She bought 3 in Sydney anyways. Hahahhaha. We saw a few houses by the Darling Harbour. WAH SO NICE. 1.7 mill one, 3.5 mill one. SO SO NICE. Eye opener man. Now i know how good houses and apartments in Australia are like. Very fine and exclusive, yet it feels like home. Don't have that feeling where u feel uncomfortable because it's too luxurious or anything like that. It feels just nice. With those spectacular views.
After that went to the relatives house which is just a 10-min walk from those super nice developments. She lives in a heritage building! The dunno what Commonwealth government governor or smtg stayed there before. Hahahha. We had to pack Jeane's stuff. I tell u, she had 8 luggages! ONLY ONE YEAR in Sydney and she has EIGHT LUGGAGES! Hahhahaah so funny la. I bet Jeane and me will never forget how we brought down the 20-kilo luggage. The super steep and narrow stairs. Hahhahahaha. Love u so much girl. :)
After that we went to the airport and flew home!
Then back to reality, study and assignments... Sigh.... But really had a wonderful memorable trip. :) Wow, been so long since i actually had such a long detailed post.
